Top 4 Reasons to Visit the Pregnancy2Baby Show!

Exciting news here at the Pregnancy2Baby Show! Tickets for our next show have been launched! Our second show promises to be as well received as the first, being hosted at the UWE Exhibition and Conference Centre on June 2-3rd 2018! If you went to the first show and want to come along to the second, we would love to see you there! If you have never gone to a baby show, or have been to one but are wondering why you should attend the Pregnancy2Baby Show, here is our Top 4 Reasons why the Pregnancy2Baby Show is THE show to attend this June!

  1. The Venue!

The University of the West of England served as a fabulous venue for our first show, so we are happy to go back for our second! Besides the amazing geographic location of the campus, with easy access to many major cities in Southern UK, it has amazing access to all ways transportation! Check out our planning your visit page (here), but whether you are traveling by car (accessed by the M32 and M4 and FREE parking all day), by train (to Parkway with regular bus services, or a quick taxi ride), or by bus, the venue is easily accessible by all! In addition to free parking, the venue boasts some awesome and handy amenities such as both feeding and changing areas, as well as a lounge and trained first aiders. Finally, for when that hunger strikes, a range of refreshments are available to purchase at the show or a quick trip to the Abbeywood Shopping Area for a range of restaurants and shops!

  1. The exhibitors

From prams and changing tables to teething toys and birthing aid, this show has you covered! Boasting a wide range of exhibitors all happy to help answer questions and keep you happy and informed during and after your pregnancy! Whether you want to keep everything the same colour pallet or splash out with something you have never used, our knowledgeable exhibitors will make sure you do not leave unhappy or upset. For a continually updated list of our exhibitors, please see the page (here).

  1. Amazing deals!

Last October saw some amazing show deals and door prizes, such as a Cosatto WOW, 40% off of the 2016 Concord collection, and many freebies with purchases! We are excitedly collecting deals and prizes to bring to you all in June, so stay tuned to our Show Offers and Competitions page (here)!

  1. Fab reviews

We aim to keep everyone pleased and enjoy the show day, and that could not be possible without guest feedback. We have taken the constructive feedback in stride and have implemented some new and exciting changes, but we also love reading all the fabulous reviews people have left with us at the show, and post-show on our social media pages! Here is one quote that always makes us so happy to read:

“Lovely show, loads to see and very informative. Saw lots of things that I’ve not seen in local baby shops and all of the stand holders we spoke to were so helpful. Entry fee was worth every penny for the advice and the savings we made. Never felt pressured to buy anything (which of course meant we bought a lot!!) and free parking too!! Couldn’t ask for better”

For other reviews, check out our testimonials page (here) or our Facebook page (here).

Tickets are live and now at a 40% discount when bought online instead of at the door! Make sure to benefit from this discount and buy your tickets early! We look forward to seeing you all in June and are so excited to be launching this second show to serve you all better!

October Show Feedback

Well, just a few weeks from the last Pregnancy2baby show and we are already looking forward to the next baby show in Bristol in June 2018.

But before we look forward let’s take a look and what the press  said about the last show. Writing in the trade magazine “Nursery Online” the visiting journalist said this:-

“Last weekend saw the first Pregnancy2Baby show in Bristol and Nursery Online went down to investigate. And we were impressed! The venue was fantastic! The show was held in the UWE Exhibition Centre which is minutes from both the M5 and M4 – and there was lots of parking adjacent to the centre.  Visitors came from all over the country, this was not the Bristol Baby Show…it was a Baby Show in Bristol.

It felt good. I can’t help feeling that when the show grows and fills all that space it’s going to take more than a day to visit!

Thank you all for your lovely comments (see the testimonials page) and I will blog some more  soon!

Thanks for reading, Charlie.

Until The Next Show June 2nd & 3rd 2018

My last blog. Well not actually true, my last blog about the 2017 Pregnancy2baby show……. but the blog about the 2018 show will in fact start in just a few weeks.

To be honest we are very proud, all the visitors loved the show and in particular the fantastic venue at UWE which is not much smaller than Olympia in London and most certainly where it is easier and cheaper to park. In fact it costs nothing to park at UWE and the short walk is just across one of three car parks.

Our lovely visitors came from far and wide, travelling from the Isle of Wight, Dorset, Hampshire, Kent, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Devon, Cornwall, South Wales, Birmingham, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Somerset and of course Bristol to name just a few.

Our sincere thanks to all the major brands that supported us in particular to Babystyle, Egg, Hybrid, Uppababy, East Coast, Bebecar, Peg Perego, Cosatto, Jane, BeSafe, Concord and Mam for all those amazing freebies!

A big thanks to Debs at UWE, Aim Exhibitions, (guys you were stars) and the fire angel who ensured the fire alarm did not go off until breakdown. Was ???? so silly as to open an emergency fire door?

Until till the next blog, thanks for reading, Charlie.

Well apologies for no blog yesterday but to say it is manic is probably an understatement!

Lots of questions and last-minute requests from both exhibitors & visitors, the major one being how do we find the UWE Exhibition & Conference Centre, so a quick mention here for the “Travel Information” page of this website. Getting to UWE is so easy!

Safer Sleeping Started At Bris!

Happy Monday!

Just 5 days to the opening of the show on Saturday and we are all soooo excited!

It has been absolutely manic in the office in Bristol and several team members were beavering away over the weekend both here and in London where Charlotte our amazing social media lead is based. Charlotte tends to look after Facebook & Twitter whilst Em, based in Bris and who hails from Canada, backs up Char looking after Instagram.  Over the weekend Em will be supervising all the live social media feeds that will go out during the show.

In the last few days all the national news has of course centred around sleep positioners. I am certainly no expert on this subject but a quick bit of research on this seems to suggest that a sleep positioner, (as identified by the American research) involves products that force baby into a position by the use of a wedge or strap. You will be able to obtain all the best advice at the show about which brands and models of sleep positioners are affected by the safety alert and how best to keep your baby safe.

SIDS is of course a major worry to all parents, but did you know going back less than forty years ago SIDS was about 7 times more prevalent than it is today and you will be able to find out in Steve Richards talks at the show why the world owes such a debt to Bristol parents for this dramatic reduction in SIDS that has saved over 100,000 newborns lives across the globe.

And given the publicity about sleep positioners I can’t imagine there will be any new parent in the South West who will want to miss the Safer Sleeping talks which will be given by Iona Smith from New Life Classes in association with The Lullaby Trust.

Turning now to tickets, I hear on the office grapevine that currently Eventbrite (who had a very large quantity of tickets ring fenced) has some tickets left at the Earlybird price of just £9.60 so here is a quick link

Remember Adult tickets at the door will be £14.oo so when buying two tickets from Eventbrite the saving (as I write this blog) is nearly £9.oo!

More news tomorrow on the shows FREEBIES and how you can win at the show an amazing car seat valued at over £350.00!

Thanks for reading, Charlie
